11.1.18 // Finances 💸 I know I usually keep my subject matter to plants, but as we enter #nospendnovember I can't help but talk about money. Richard and I were debt free for several years when we lived in our tiny house on wheels. When we decided to buy land & a house we stopped being debt free, we took on a mortgage. We were able to sell our THOW for the same amount we paid for it, cushioning our savings and allowing us to triple our mortgage payment each month. We are 15% paid off after one year, and hoping to make a big payment in December. Richard hasn't had a paying job since June, but recently started working again. We really want to pay off our mortgage within 5 years so we can get back to our ideal debt free lifestyle.
