4.11.19 // there’s few more transformative journeys than spring time in the garden! It’s such a delight to witness the changing of seasons - there’s something new and exciting happening everyday! Yesterday I saw my first dragonfly of the year, today I saw a new type of mushroom I’ve never seen grow in the garden, four days ago I saw my first skink.. the list goes on and on. Pictured: 1 Potatoes are taking off! 2 Burdock leaves are among my favorite - they are so large and spectacular! 3 Jerusalem artichokes are beginning to say hello. 4 Muscadine grape just woke up. 5 Almost time to harvest my first green onion flower! It’s my fav edible flower, and it’s the crop I’m most excited to eat every spring!! 6 Carrots that I planted two months ago finally terminated - I was beyond surprised when I noticed them today! 7 volunteer lettuces doing their thing. 8 first white cabbage moth caterpillar sighting today! Where my wasps and birds at!?
