3.13.20 // four new raised beds for the seed potatoes arriving tomorrow. Couldn’t do it without my farming partner @homesteadstrong 🥰 we are farm geniuses and realized we could use our standard cardboard boxes to lay out nearly prefect rows! 30” beds with 24” paths (we usually do 12” paths but we are finding we prefer the extra width after all.) We’ve never built beds on top of a fresh sheet mulch, we usually do the compost on top of the cardboard with woodchip paths. Lucky for us, experimentation is how we roll so we will see how these beds do. Flowers are so pretty, these beauties will be moving after the spring into their proper homes. We didn’t have anywhere to put them last fall, that will be remedied soon!
