4/8/18 Meeting #4: FACEBOOK EVENT PAGE
For this meeting we will be meeting at Out of the Gardens Projects Shared Commercial Kitchen to do some hands-on ferments!
*Cost*
The cost for us to use the kitchen is $40. We have $20 left over from our March meeting so expect to chip in $2 / per person.
*How it works*
For this Hands-on session we will structure it a little differently. We will pick 2-3 recipes to focus on making, we will pick our recipes ahead of time. Since there are three tables in the kitchen, each table will be a station for each of the recipes. This way, you can pick and choose what you want to make, or make all three. If you don’t want to make any of the recipes and want to do your own thing, and make something different, that is okay too! I think this structure will help our beginner fermentors as there will be recipes/instructions to follow! We will vote on the recipes we want to try for this meeting as the date gets closer, meanwhile please share recipes in our discussion post!
*What to bring*
-Cutting Board/Knife
– Large Bowl
-1-3 Jars/Crocks to put your ferments in (quart ball jars work perfect!)
-Airlocks/weights (Not required – but helpful, I like “pickle pebbles” and “pickle pipes” – available on amazon) Amy will likely have Airlocks available for purchase.
-Ingredients for the recipes you want to try.
